Hors d’Oeuvres
Let’s get the party started! For passed hors d’oeuvres, we will generally plan on 3-5 pieces per person for each selected item, depending on the size of the item. Below is a peek at what we offer, and we are happy to work with you on your own personal favorites.
Passed hors d’oeuvres are served from a variety of our own platters and boards. We don’t crowd the items on the boards, and bring our own flowers and/or other garnishes to make each one a visual delight as well as a tasty one.
For the sake of variety, we recommend choosing at least three passed selections.

Buffet Dinner Options
Below is a list of Buffet possibilities designed to help you put together a full menu. These are meant to be a guideline, as we are equipped to handle any custom preferences you may have.

Plated Dinner Options
A plated dinner is the best way to bring all your guests together at one time to share toasts, stories and laughter. Plated gives us the opportunity to ensure that each plate is artfully arranged and served.
The following is a sampling of choices that reflect a single preparation suggestion for each item. There are so many options for each protein, that it is best to discuss your preferences and customize the menu accordingly.
Further, both Margaret and Mark have had the opportunity to travel extensively, and love building regional menus that may reflect cuisines from Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Mexico, India, Thailand, etc.
We are happy to discuss vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Any entrée can be served on its own, or in combination with another, or as a choice. Plated duos add a nice contrast to each dish. To complement the entrée, a wide variety of seasonal vegetables is available, as well as choices of potato, rice, and pasta. You may also wish to consider a pasta course in between salad and entrée.

Family Style
As another option, we offer family-style service of any entrée, side and salad you’d like. We have our own large collection of wooden and china platters and bowls, as well as all the service utensils necessary.
Here is a sample menu we did this past summer that was so fun, and met with such praise. Set in assorted bowls, baskets, platters, and plates will be:
Rocket Salad; Arugula, goat cheese, pickled red onions, toasted hazelnuts, lemon vinaigrette
Sourdough Rolls and Butter
Herb-Roasted Chicken (breast, thigh and drumstick)
Sliced Skirt Steak with Sauce Romesco
Pasta Al Limone
Broccolini with Roasted Garlic
Roasted Potatoes with Rosemary and Pecorino
Roasted Eggplant and Summer Squash with Thyme Oil

Beverage Options
Matching our commitment to food and its service, we approach beverage service with an equal fervor. Drinks, whether specialty or simple mixes, are artfully concocted, and served with the utmost efficiency in mind – no one likes long lines…. Wine and beer can be curated to the menu and any theme you may be imagining.
Below outlines the various forms of beverage service we can provide for your event. As a rule, we charge based on a flat rate, as this allows you to budget for the evening ahead of time, and avoids surprises at the end of the event. We can offer beverage service based on consumption, but only recommend this if you believe a large number of attendees will not be drinking. We do not offer a cash bar option.
Beer selections, generally artistic cans of Vermont Craft Beers, and wine with two red and two white selections (based on standard house pour). Includes soft drinks, ice and fruit.
Same as above, with the addition of standard brand liquors, e.g. Popov Vodka, Fleischmann’s Gin, Clan MacGregor Scotch, etc. In addition, this includes standard mixers, orange and cranberry juice.
Same as Standard Bar, but with higher level wines, and Call brand liquors, for example, but not limited to: Ketel One or Tito’s Vodka, Bombay or Beefeater Gin, Mt. Gay or Bacardi Rum, Johnny Walker Red or Dewars Scotch, etc.
Same as Call, but with Premium brand liquors: Grey Goose, or Village Garage (Bennington) Vodka, Hendrix, Bombay Sapphire, or Silo (VT) Gin, Barbancourt Haitian Rum, Johnny Walker Black Scotch, etc.
Please note that these brands are examples only, and we will be happy to customize a bar menu, including specialty drinks, to your liking. Whether at a venue, your home, a tent, or anywhere we serve, it is our responsibility to follow all Vermont Liquor laws, but more importantly, to ensure that our service allows for responsible enjoyment of the event.
